An intriguing voice makes itself Known

Sawhain Blessings.

I love this time of the Celtic New Year.

Darkly silver branches become agile dancers that ride the winds of change.

I heard this intriguing voice today from a woman who wants to tell her story in my Nano Novel; I’m seriously tempted to oblige her. This voice, inside me, beckons me to follow her.

In this moment her voice is strong, clear and just intrepid enough.  I wonder if her voice is so strong because mine has not yet returned.  I hope when my voice returns it sounds like it did before. I quite like my voice and I miss it.  If one of the blessings of not having a voice is to have her voice appear with great strength, then so be it.

The veil is thin between the worlds today.  I am quietly excited.

Blessings and Write well

It has to be distilled

I love this quote by Raymond Carver – “A good story can not be devised, it has to be distilled.”

My voice is still hiding somewhere in liminal land.

I’m going to let myself go back and forth with Nano possibilities until Sawhain.  When the viel is particularly thin between the worlds I will see which images most strongly wish and need to be embodied in the dance that will be my Nano Novel this year.

I’m trying to fathom how to add a proper link to this post.

My other blog, Duende and Desire, is connected to a myriad of my other blogs.

New Moon Blessings.

I can feel the passionate focus and intention of this Scorpio New Moon.

My Nano ideas are beginning to braid together in beautiful ways during the days and nights.

Exciting….

Blessed Be.

As I discover my Character’s Voices

As I discover my character’s voices, it is passing strange not to have my own.  When I pick up the phone, I can barely whisper and people hang up. I won’t pick up the phone, again, until my voice returns.

Sometimes, during the day, the infinite Nano choices seem to be coming into a focus, a kind of braid, really.

Sometimes, during the night, the seemingly infinite Nano choices conjure a mind-map that is like a mobile with colors, files, folders, buttons, voices, vices and a plethora of possibilities, and the wind keeps shifting.

There is a New Moon in a few hours.  I am interested to see what will happen at this Scorpio New Moon.

Scorpio is so much about intensity of focus.

Cheers

Voice, Vice and Vicissitudes

As I am explore voices and vices of different characters, I have literally lost my voice.

I have to sub my Yoga Classes today as I have no voice.  It’s strange, in the past, when I’ve been sick, I’ve had at least a wee bit of a voice.  Today I open my mouth and no-thing is said.

The only other time something close to this happened, is when I was really unwise to go on a trip with a bloke who was definite trouble.

I once taped my television show on the theme of silence.  It was a strange show.  Almost as strange as when I read Gaelic Poetry.  Gaelic is healing.  I am going to make a soundtrack for a character who doesn’t speak very much, perhaps not even for daze at a time.

To health and just a few more days before Sawhain and the Beginning of November Nano.

The Rhythm of the Novel

The rhythms of each day are so varied.  I first need to get into rhythm with myself.  Actually I need to discover what the rhythm is today and then choreograph/ weave- writing- time into the fluidity of the day.

I write better when no thing is static. Though writing for a fortnight of minutes, that surprised me.  Writing for at least two hours a day and as many more as I can becomes an ever deepening rhythm and rhythms too.

I love when I write like the Queen of Cups. This Queen is water of water, fully absorbed in what she is conjuring, receiving and translating through words.

On the Nano Boards I posted the quest ion

Is it true that all body sensations – thoughts, feelings, etc are taken in first as images and only later translated into words?  The answers have been fecund and stimulating.

Today I feel that the rhythm of my novel will have rhythm as a quintessential part of its theme.  I will explore how first there is an image, which we then choose or do not choose to translate into words.  I feel myself being drawn into the Queen of Cups.  Much richness here, where?  Much richness in how important it is to dance, do yoga, walk, write, paint…whatever- to align oneself with the deeper rhythms each day.

Is this the Tao of the Day?  Each resonance with the rhythms of the day and the particular novel become fulfilling as one’s rhythms deepen, and as the subjective way of describing the initial images become freer and more fluid.

Solutio in Alchemy is water. ” Dissolve wisely into that which you write”, says the Queen of Cups for today.

Write well and enjoy

Blessed Be

First post New Nano Blog

Hello

The Alchemical Recipes for discerning how to use this brand new blog are yet to be fully revealed.

I will let myself flounder, a bit, until I find the write ways to relax into conjuring my own  Alchemical Recipes for distilling and creating this year’s Nano Novel.

Today I’m going to see what combination of ideas feels the most fecund, maybe even fetching. The Green Man is playing invitingly in my consciousness along with a  cozy murder mystery that is not all that cozy.

Perhaps a few of the Magical Realism aspects of the novel I’m presently writing may find their way in this 08 Nano Novel.. Am I really Here Now? Or will this post disappear and then reappear somewhere else in time or timing when I press the Puglish, button.  The word Puglish made me smile so I left it.  I really meant Publish.  I’d love to Publish my Nano and all my books.  Well, of course.  Is anything of course? I suppose it is, if it is not off course.

Today I am going to navigate wisely,  with wit,  whimsy and probably a few severe rubber cushions. Well repercussions but perhaps repercussions can be splendid. Cussions like cushions instead of a…con..cussion.. I will have to add a etymological dictionary here.  I wonder if that is possible?

Possibly I will now re turn to the liminal space where the ideas for the Nano will Alchemically Marry and all will be darn delightful….a word and a breath at a time.

Consider means with the stars.

Disaster means against the stars.

I love that Nano stars at Sawhain, Celtic New Year time.
